The authors propose an efficient and accurate method for solving singular boundary value problems in one space dimension using the B-spline method. An error analysis is presented. The properties of the B-spline method are used to reduce the problem to the solution of linear algebraic equations in which the Q-R method is used to establish numerical procedures. Some numerical examples are presented to confirm the validity of the method.
