The paper contains a continuation of earlier work [the author, ibid. 93, 1-13 (1983; Zbl 0542.76157)] on the hydromagnetic free-convection flow of a viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting fluid past an infinite vertical porous plate when the fluid is subject to a constant suction velocity. In this work the effects of Hall current are included.
