The paper describes the search for compact multifrequency binary sequences, test signals with maximum entropy, binary codes. These codes are classified in terms of odd, even and dual symmetry and are tabulated for both baseband and zoom narrow band properties. The use of these codes to identify a wide variety of frequency information about systems by means of the eye patterns is presented.
