The Voigt function is the real part of the complex error function \(\exp (-z^2)\mathrm{erfc}(-iz)\). The function is expressed as an integral over the reals of a meromorphic function that involves a free parameter. A corrected trapezoidal rule is used to compute the function. Comparisons with other published methods are given.
