This is a nice technical paper dealing with the classification of limit behavior (variation) of classes of sequences of positive real numbers and interesting relations between the theory of selection principles, game theory, Ramsey theory, and divergence processes in asymptotic analysis; it is intended for specialists. The authors substantially improve several results of a series of their previous papers, e.g. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 327, No. 2, 1297--1306 (2007; Zbl 1116.26002)], [Topology Appl. 155, No. 17--18, 2143--2149 (2008, Zbl 1154.54002)].
