The paper deals with fuzzy congruences on a group [cf. \textit{P. Bhattacharya} and \textit{N. P. Mukherjee}, ibid. 36, 267-282 (1985; Zbl 0599.20003)] and states a one-to-one correspondence between them and normal fuzzy subgroups (which is analogous to the group case). A similar result was recently presented by \textit{B. B. Makamba} and \textit{V. Murali} [ibid. 59, No. 1/2, 121-129 (1992; Zbl 0737.20041)].
