The author studies the variation of curvature integrals for Euclidean and affine hypersurfaces. Both, the Euclidean and the affine case, are treated together by a general variational integral formula. In the unimodular case a proof due to \textit{Li Anmin} [ibid. 13, 318-326 (1988; Zbl 0644.53008)] is simplified.
