Numerical approaches to the kinetic semiconductor equation (Q1316589)

For a kinetic semiconductor equation, three different particle approximations based on different mathematical concepts are presented, namely the characteristic method, the rediscretization method and the CRF-method. The computational cost of the different algorithms is discussed showing that a decision which one is preferable requires additional mathematical investigations.
