A new relationship of eigenvalues between the Jacobi iteration matrix and the USAOR iteration matrix for block \(p\)-cyclic case is presented. The result is an extension of some previous ones. This extension is not trivial. Its importance is not only in the theoretical aspect which helps us to understand the behavior of the iterations, but also in the practical aspect in that we can derive the domains of convergence of these iterative methods.
