The authors consider the third order nonlinear difference equation \[ \Delta^3u(t-2)+a(t)f(u(t))=0,~~t\in\{2,3,\cdots,T+2\} \] together with 5 different types of boundary conditions. By constructing the respective Green's functions, some criteria for the existence of at least one or two positive solutions are obtained. Some examples are included to illustrate the results obtained.
