This textbook deals with fundamentals of analog, digital and stochastic signal processing. It is an extension of the textbook ``System- und Signalverarbeitung'' from 1998 which has not changed in its principal character (see ref. in Zbl 0923.94001) and which is enriched by numerous illustrative examples and two new chapters on stochastic signals. An appendix on the use of the signal and system toolbox of Matlab with respect to the contents in the textbook makes it very useful for students in electrical engineering and related topics to learn the practical handling of signal processing. The main lines of the contents: Introduction, analog signals, analog systems, digital signals, digital systems, stochastic signals, reaction of systems on stochastic signals, analog filters, digital filters, and some extending outlooks.
