The article under review presents a comprehensive list of significant problems in group theory, such as the inverse Galois problem, revision projects of the classification of finite simple groups and the quest for a ``grand unified theory'' addressing the classifications of simple Lie groups and the simple algebraic groups together with the research on simple groups of finite Morley rank, some interesting open problems related to the growth of groups and some variations of the Burnside problem. The late author, a leading figure in group theory renowned for his influential work in various branches, including subgroup growth, \(p\)-groups, analytic group theory, profinite groups and probabilistic group theory, has unfortunately passed away in March 2023 before this article was published.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1539.11006].
