The authors consider polynomially based multi-projection methods for Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with smooth kernels. Their purpose is to obtain super-convergence rates using global polynomial bases as can be obtained with piecewise polynomial bases. The paper is structured as follows: After preliminaries, an abstract framework is introduced, which forms the basis for the description and analysis of multi-projection methods. The paper concludes with numerical examples illustrating the main results.
