A note on places of quasifields (Q810092)

The author considers places in quasifields. He gives several systems of axioms for places which allow a better handling than the original seven axioms of André and characterises such places in terms of place rings. As an application he gives an algebraic proof for the existence of natural places in ordered quasifields, a result which has been earlier proved by Hartmann and Prieß-Crampe using geometrical methods.
