The authors present a detailed analysis of the structures of some generalized inverses of rectangular banded matrices. They show that the submatrices belonging to a specified part of the inverses have ranks bounded by the sum of the band-width and the nullity of the adjoint. Moreover, they find an explicit representation formula for the Moore-Penrose inverse of a rectangular banded matrix having non-vanishing elements in the outermost diagonal.
