It is well known that Lebesgue extended the class of integrable functions beyond Riemann's framework. In this paper, the author begins by summarizing this important development, presenting very nice original quotations from Lebesgue. In the final three pages, she introduces some other integrals from the past century, comparing them with the Lebesgue integral to provide a broader perspective. Additionally, she offers a more in-depth discussion of the Denjoy integral.
