The authors consider the problem of diffraction by a nonhomogeneous cylindrical body of an \(H\)-polarized plane wave propagating orthogonally to the cylinder's axis. To model the problem, they use an integral equation for the vector of the electric field. A numerical method is developed, and certain aspects of its practical applications are considerd. Some numerical results are described.
