In this paper under review, the author presents and discusses results made by several mathematicians on a famous formula of Ramanujan for odd zeta values. In fact, he gives a complements to the study of \textit{B. C. Berndt} and \textit{A. Straub} [in: Exploring the Riemann zeta function. 190 years from Riemann's birth. With a preface by Freeman J. Dyson. Cham: Springer. 13--34 (2017; Zbl 1497.11198)] by adding some of the recent developments on the subject.
